Dead Island Zombies

Dead Island Zombies are somewhat like a combination between L4D and Dead Rising. They look like the usual zombie creature with decaying flesh, rotten blood, decomposition, and exposed skeletons. Like Most zombie viral causes, the infection at Dead Island is fast-acting. The solution to rid infected humans of this virus as you can guess – is to obliterate them! Sounds fun right? Of course it does. Who doesn’t want to go on an island trek unleashing fury and giving zombies their final demise.

When killing Dead Island zombies, there are a few things to consider. Special zombies or even common ones can be slowed down or killed by normal zombie killing tactics while others require special kill requirement. An example of this would be the Dead Island vessel zombie. This creature type requires head destruction in order to prevent them from regenerating.

Before reading on, please understand that these Dead Island zombies could have changes in name and behavior once the game comes out. The Dead Island team could be finalizing or tweaking functionality that could result in minor or even major changes later on.

Common Dead Island Zombie Types:

 

Dead Island Zombie Vessels

These Dead Island zombies are the slower zombie creature type. They are the common type of zombie you would see in older zombie movies. Other zombies that fall under this group are also knows as Walkers and Thugs.

Dead Island Infected Zombies

The fast-moving zombie types similar to the ‘rage’ zombies in 28 days later falls in the Infected class. They move faster than the Vessels and give you less time to react. On the plus side, these is the type of zombie AI we like in order to get our adrenaline going.

The Dead Island Drowner

This Dead Island zombie type looks mean and nasty. They are obese and have red eyes showcasing their deep infection. They the look of an over-bloated drowning victim (hence the name) and if you look close enough, you can see their organs pulsing beneath their tightly stretched skin.

The Dead Island Ram

The Dead Island Ram zombie is deceptively taller than the other common zombies. It wears a mental ward type face mask similar to Hannibal in Silence of the lambs and a strait jacket. The area to target in order to finish this zombie is his back. This zombie creature is like a juggernaut ram and extreme caution is needed to avoid getting hit. Keep targeting the back area and dodging correctly is the key in defeating him.

The Dead Island Suicider

This zombie type is lovingly disgusting. Covered with infected boils that pulsate in gruesomeness, it attempts to lure you closer in order to cause damage when exploding. The explosion is quite gross covering your Dead Island character in blood and puss.

The Dead Island Butcher

Zombie sports jock in redneck clothes. If that doesn’t scare you then you’re much tougher than us. This facially deformed zombie type uses their exposed forearm bones to slice and stab its target.

The Dead Island Thug

One of the bigger Dead Island zombie type wearing casual touristy clothing. Nothing too special here, just big and brutish, but undead.
