The Public Dead Island Review
While there are a multitude of video gaming companies who released their versions of games featuring zombies, a lot of game enthusiasts are actually looking forward to the formal release of Dead Island. The game trailer was “the best” as stated in a good number of Dead Island reviews. The game boasts of an RPG-type quest system which would be highly appreciated by gamers who want or need more guidance while playing. And the graphics are by far amazing and highly detailed. And according to sources, the game would have a very good ending so gamers would look forward to a climax and ending much similar to movies.
However, it’s safe to say that no game is perfect. No matter how hard developers and publishers try to do their best, Dead Island is still at the mercy of its gamers and critics. Although the whole package of its making is greatly acclaimed, it still cannot please everyone.
Here are some of the Dead Island Review concerns posted on sites like IGN:
- They did not like the players’ Australian accent, that it will give distractions to the gamer while playing. The main anthem “Die, die, die!” is thought to be replaced with giggles and groans.
- They thought the game to be just giving the players the same point and shoot tactic that makes up most of the game type.
- They think that Dead Island is just a rip-off of the Left 4 Dead game, which also involves protagonists racing to an escape point while killing the enemies to survive.
- The characters were thought of as ordinary, and because of this, the video game will not be able to meet the cleverness of its released trailer.
- Some said the only thing a player can remember about the game was “killing dead guys”.
The verdict
Gaming developers have come a long way from brick games and can now create video games that are highly realistic. You feel as if you’re inside your screen to the point that when the character dies, you feel that you also are dying. Technology made it possible for people to experience these amazing things, but the irony of it all, is that all technological advancements, are still a subject for everyone’s judgment, which is why the zombie game genre continues to evolve.
Weighing the pros and cons of Dead Island, you will still not be able to determine what its REAL juices and pulps are as the game is still to be released this September 6, 2011 in the United States and the worldwide debut on September 9. We hope that our Dead Island Review gives you an idea whether it is worth playing or not.
Our Dead Island review overall is that the trailer is well thought of and that it is interesting enough to draw gamers nearer to giving the game a try on their Xbox 360, PC or PlayStation 3. However, because of negative Dead Island reviews, some people are anxious about the whole game itself, whether it will meet the quality of the trailers, or it will be just another game filled with walking dead people.
The bottom line is: the decision is still yours. You can rely on our Dead Island review that it’s a great zombie game from our test demo. If you do not trust your own judgment, make sure to make the safest choice, because there are a lot of cases that a trailer is well-made, and the game itself is a fail. On the other hand, there are also games that really exceed expectation. Dead Island’s case is still to be determined after it is highly anticipated release. When you’re in it for the experience and you’re not much of a perfectionist in terms of digging up deep details, there won’t be any reason for you not to enjoy playing the game regardless if the Dead Island review is good or bad.
